This summer im going to go up to RI and go camping and fishing with the boat. Last year we went there and our campsite was bad. If anyone has ideas or went anywhere good just post. My only preferences are that it is near the water, where we can fish and take the boat out.

Im thinking of going to Fishermen's Memorial State Park & Campground. It looks really nice and close to the water. I was wondering if anyone has ever been there or heard anything about it. If you have please post.

Where did you camp last year? Burlingame is a big State owned campground just off RTE 1. You need a reservation but it's clean, cheap and 5 minutes from the ocean. The Wood River runs right along side of Burlingame and that's the best river in RI for brown trout. Holly Tree in Ashaway is 2 min from a good launch on Wood River and 5 miles from Rte !. They only have a few temporary sights as most of the campers have been there for years. Really clean and relatively inexpensive. One hour from Hartford.
