We have CT fishing Licenses all year round. Rods, Lures, Fly Tying Supplies and Live bait are in stock everyday.
News Updates: 06/22/2008
The bad news, the schoolies are few, but the good news......The big boys are on. The water has finally dropped after a month at flood stage. With the last Northeaster missing us to the south, the water is down and clearing. Reports of keeper stripers on coming in daily. So far most, but not all, are still below the dam. Live bait (sandworms) seem to be the favorites. We have them in stock all season! The usual favorites, gibbs, finese /salt shakers (soft plastics) and mombos are still good choices. Stop in to get the latest on what is catching the fish.
The annual striper tournament has started, May 15th to June 15th. You can sign-up for the Striper Tournament at any time, but you will have to wait 3 days to weigh in a fish after the start date. The Application and details are listed below. Watch on-line for updates and in the shop for daily updates. Top fish are in the upper 30's and low 40's in length and 20's in pounds, Capt Joe has a fish story of the 52" fish that got away! He needs a bigger boat or "harpoon gun" suggested by Guy.
